In accordance with HUD regulations, all HCV (Section 8) families are recertified once a year. The purpose for this is to make certain that the information Newmarket Housing Authority has about the family’s composition, income, and deductions are correct and to determine the rental portion to be paid to the landlord by housing assistance payments and by the family.
Our Housing Officers will send you a recertification packet approximately 3-4 months before the date of your annual recertification. This packet will include a date for your annual Housing Quality Standard Inspection with inspector Dann Dodd.

Change of Income/Household
As a participant in a Newmarket Housing Authority program, you are required to report any change in your household’s income or family composition within 10 days of the change. Moving to a New Unit?
Once you have let us know of your intent to move, please download a Request for Tenancy Approval for your new prospective landlord. This packet must be completed by your new prospective landlord, then a Housing Quality Inspection must be conducted before you can move into the new unit.
